Costatumulus papilionata

Taxonomy
Cancrinella papilionata was named by Waterhouse (1978). Its type specimen is UQF 69029, a valve (Dorsal valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is W1282, Karnali Unspecified, which is in a Changhsingian marine siliciclastic in the Senja Formation of Nepal.

It was recombined as Bandoproductus papilionata by Waterhouse (1983); it was recombined as Nambdoania papilionata by Waterhouse (2002) and Waterhouse and Chen (2007); it was recombined as Costatumulus papilionata by Li et al. (2012).
