Taxonomy
Darvasites zygaricus was named by Leven (1992). Its type specimen is GGM VI-213/99, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bal'balyak settlement, sample D4-11, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Kulyakhin Formation of Tajikistan.
