Taxonomy
Propinacoceras sangobense was named by Leonova (1992). Its type specimen is PIN 4240/56 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sangob River, sample 72, which is in a Sakmarian marine horizon in the Khoridzhskaya Formation of Tajikistan.
