Taxonomy
Bamyaniceras tersum was named by Leonova (1992). Its type specimen is PIN 4240/42 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Charymdara River, sample 50z, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Zygar Formation of Tajikistan.
