Taxonomy
Almites dmitrievi was named by Leonova (1992). Its type specimen is PIN 4240/74 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Charymdara River, sample D51a-17, which is in a Sakmarian marine horizon in the Khoridzhskaya Formation of Tajikistan.
