Camponotites microthoracus
Taxonomy
Camponotus microthoracus was named by Zhang (1989). Its type specimen is 79128, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shanwang, Linqu County, collection 79/80 (Beijing Museum), which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Shanwang Formation of China.
It was recombined as Camponotites microthoracus by Boudinot et al. (2024).
