Australotheca kirkbyi
Taxonomy
Theca kirkbyi was named by Howse (1857). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tunstall Hill, shell limestone, Durham (Kirkby collection), which is in a Wuchiapingian perireef or subreef grainstone in the Ford Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Hyolithes kirkbyi by Malinky and Mapes (1983); it was recombined as Australotheca kirkbyi by Wagner (2023).
