Taxonomy
Carinasubcorona bamaolinense was named by Chen (2002). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is TL0041 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is BT3WC Bamaolin, Guanling, which is in a Julian carbonate limestone/shale in the Wayao Formation of China.
