Angatubichthys mendesi
Taxonomy
Angatubichthys mendesi was named by De Figueriredo and Carvalho (2004). Its type specimen is Pz.DBAV.UERJ 059, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Hwy SP-270 Outcrop, Angatuba, which is in a Wordian/Wuchiapingian lacustrine siltstone in the Corumbataí Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Angatubichthys.
