Pseudophillipsia (Carniphillipsia) sagittalis
Taxonomy
Iranaspidion sagittalis was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1978). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Hambast Valley section MK, horizon K63, Abadeh, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Surmaq Formation of Iran.
It was recombined as Pseudophillipsia (Carniphillipsia) sagittalis by Lerosey-Aubril (2012) and Ameri et al. (2017).
