Platyzona humilis
Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria humilis was named by de Koninck (1877). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hunter Valley Quarries, 3 miles northwest of Bloomington, which is in a Meramecian carbonate limestone in the Salem Formation of Indiana.
It was recombined as Mourlonia humilis by Etheridge (1889); it was recombined as Ptychomphalina humilis by Etheridge (1907); it was recombined as Platyzona humilis by Wagner (2023).
