Taxonomy
Striarcinae was named by MacNeil (1938) [m. kosnik taxon no: 9230]. It is extant.

It was considered an invalid subgroup of Bivalvia by Bouchet et al. (2010); it was reranked as the tribe Striarcini by Carter et al. (2011).

It was assigned to Noetiidae by Eames (1951), Vokes (1980), Ward (1992) and Coan et al. (2000); and to Noetiinae by Carter et al. (2011).
