Taxonomy
Pecten interlineatus was named by Gabb (1873). Its type specimen is ANSP 2846, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pecten (Chlamys) interlineatus by Dall (1898) and Dall (1898); it was recombined as Chlamys (Lyropecten) interlineatus by Tucker-Rowland (1938); it was recombined as Interchlamys interlineata by Waller (2011).
