Taxonomy
Griffithides (Griffithides) majus was named by Chamberlain (1977). Its type specimen is UA 2442, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UA locality RM 8, Milepost 212, Richardson Highway, which is in a Moscovian marine mudstone in Alaska.
