Taxonomy
Griffithides (Griffithides) megalopos was named by Chamberlain (1977). Its type specimen is UA 2447, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tributary to Kelly River, De Long Mountains, Brooks Range, which is in a Meramecian marine shale in the Kogruk Formation of Alaska.
