Araxoceras trochoides

Taxonomy
Ceratites trochoides was named by Abich (1878). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Araxes Gorge, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in Azerbaijan.

It was recombined as Otoceras trochoides by Arthaber (1900) and Stoyanow (1910); it was recombined as Prototoceras trochoides by Spath (1934); it was recombined as Araxoceras trochoides by Kummel (1972) and Leonova (2002).
