Taxonomy
Spirifer perlamellosus was named by Hall (1857). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Kozlowskiella (Megakozlowskiella) perlamellosa by Boucot (1957); it was recombined as Megakozlowskiella perlamellosa by Williams et al. (2006).
