Taxonomy
Anidanthus shastensis was named by Coogan (1960). Its type specimen is UCMP 35766 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP B-4614, Little Bollibokka Creek, which is in a Roadian/Wordian deep-water limestone in the Nosoni Formation of California.
