Taxonomy
Saccorhynchia xiangdaica was named by Jin et al. (1979). Its type specimen is NIGP 42830 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tahabugou IXF2059, Chalisi, Nangqen County, which is in a Norian marine horizon in China.
