Syrphus petrographicus

Taxonomy
Syrphus petrographicus was named by Hull (1960). Its type specimen is UMMP 35457, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant (Stump Hill), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
