Taxonomy
Eohyattoceras gerthi was named by Glenister and Furnish (1987). Its type specimen is UA T796A and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tae Wei and Tae Lina, Aintenoe Creek, Basleo, which is in a Roadian/Wordian marine marl in the Tae Wei Formation of Indonesia.
