Taxonomy
Hypocrinus schneideri was named by Beyrich (1862). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kali-Mati, Tabeno Mountain, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate marl in Indonesia. It is the type species of Hypocrinus.
