Taxonomy
Lonsdaleiastraea vinassai was named by Gerth (1922). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Biwak Poetain, Timor (Molengraaff coll), which is in a Permian marine horizon in Indonesia. It is the type species of Lonsdaleiastraea.
