Taxonomy
Lonsdaleia molengraaffi was named by Gerth (1922). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Noil Noenoe Sono, Timor (Molengraaff coll), which is in a Permian marine horizon in Indonesia.
It was recombined as Lonsdaleiastraea molengraaffi by Minato and Kato (1965) and Sorauf (2004).
