Taxonomy

Glyptopleurina minuta was named by Warthin (1930).

It was recombined as Moorites minutus by Kellett (1933); it was misspelled as Moorites minitus by Crasquin-Soleau (1999).

Synonyms

Moorites hewetti was named by Coryell and Billings (1932). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wayland Shale, near Cisco TX, Ostracoda, which is in a Pennsylvanian offshore shale in the Graham Formation of Texas.

It was synonymized subjectively with Moorites minutus by Kellett (1933).
Moorites truncatus was named by Coryell and Billings (1932). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wayland Shale, near Cisco TX, Ostracoda, which is in a Pennsylvanian offshore shale in the Graham Formation of Texas.
