Taxonomy
Rectambitus spondomarginata was named by Shen et al. (2004). Its type specimen is NIGP 135568, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dapaichong Section, which is in a Changhsingian carbonate limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
