Taxonomy
Neoproetus (Triproetus) subovalis was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1979). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tham Nam Maholan LE-11, Changwat Loei, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in Thailand.
It was recombined as Triproetus subovalis by Owens (2003).
