Polidevcia abrupta
Taxonomy
Nucula abrupta was named by Dana (1847). Its type specimen is USNM 3640 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wollongong Point, Illawarra (USNM coll), which is in a Wordian coastal siliciclastic in the Gerringong Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Nuculana abrupta by Fletcher (1945); it was recombined as Polidevcia abrupta by Waterhouse (1988).
