Pleurikodonta gemma

Taxonomy
Astarte gemma was named by Dana (1847). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wollongong Point, Illawarra (USNM coll), which is in a Wordian coastal siliciclastic in the Gerringong Formation of Australia.

It was recombined as Pleurikodonta gemma by Waterhouse (1988).
