Protodidelphis mastodontoides
Taxonomy
Robertbutleria mastodontoidea was named by Marshall (1987). Its type specimen is DGM 896-M, a tooth (Left m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.
It was recombined as Protodidelphis mastodontoides by Oliveira and Goin (2011).
