Taxonomy
Palaeoneilo fortistriata was named by Wasmer and Hautmann (2012). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 28851, a valve (left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nammal Gorge NAM-B8, Salt Range, which is in a Spathian carbonate limestone in the Niveaux Intermediaires Formation of Pakistan.
