Taxonomy
Rhynchonella pomeyroli was named by Drot (1953). Its type specimen is MNHN B8395, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Piarorhynchia pomeyroli by Dagys (1968); it was recombined as Vincentirhynchia pomeyroli by MacFarlan (1992).
