Taxonomy
Timorhynchia gowanensis was named by MacFarlan (1992). Its type specimen is OU 16120, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is JGB 1407, Etal Stream (D44/f071), which is in an Oretian marine horizon in New Zealand.
