Taxonomy
Timorhynchia waikawauensis was named by MacFarlan (1992). Its type specimen is OU 16137, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is McF C1, east of Manganui Road (R17/f098), which is in an Oretian marine horizon in New Zealand.
