Taxonomy
Fissirhynchia pacifica was named by MacFarlan (1992). Its type specimen is OU 16618, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is JDC 241, Taringatura Hills (E45/f6635), which is in an Otapirian marine horizon in New Zealand.
