Aucklandirhynchia aucklandica
Taxonomy
Aucklandirhynchia aucklandica was named by MacFarlan (1992). Its type specimen is NZGS BR 1874, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS 5003, Naike Quarry (R13/f8501), which is in an Aalenian marine horizon in the Ohautira Formation of New Zealand. It is the type species of Aucklandirhynchia.
