Tainuirhynchia tainuii
Taxonomy
Tainuirhynchia tainuii was named by MacFarlan (1992). Its type specimen is AU B254, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AU 6414, Whakapirau Road (R16/f031), which is in an Oxfordian marine horizon in the Ohinereru Formation of New Zealand. It is the type species of Tainuirhynchia.
