Procoptodon pusio
Taxonomy
Procoptodon pusio was named by Owen (1874). Its type specimen is BMNH 39996, a maxilla (right maxillary fragment), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gowrie, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in Australia. It is the type species of Procoptodon.
