Wakiewakie lawsoni
Taxonomy
Wakiewakie lawsoni was named by Woodburne (1984). Its type specimen is SAM P17897, a mandible (left mandible lacking the ascending ramus and angle, with partial alveolus for I1, P3, M1-M3 present.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP Locality V-6213, which is in an Oligocene/Miocene fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Wipajiri Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Wakiewakie.
