Taxonomy
Girtyoceras hamiltonense was named by Korn and Titus (2011). It is not extant. Its type locality is Hamilton Canyon, 07NVWP-3, which is in a Brigantian deep-water shale/limestone in the Chainman Formation of Nevada.
