Taxonomy
Zeilleria spiculata was named by MacFarlan and Campbell (2003). Its type specimen is OU 18803, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is JDC 1293, Otapiri Stream (E45/f9618), which is in an Otapirian coastal siliciclastic in New Zealand.
