Taxonomy
Saharaphrentis tirechouminoidense was named by Aretz (2011). It is not extant. Its type locality is Tirechoumine, ML 586, which is in an Asbian/Brigantian marine shale/limestone in the Tirechoumine Formation of Algeria. It is the type species of Saharaphrentis.
