Taxonomy
Xestosina arguta was named by Cooper (1983). Its type specimen is USNM 92030, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mont-le-Vernois, Haute SaƓne, which is in a Kimmeridgian carbonate limestone in France.
