Discussion

Hyporosopora is extinct according to Treatise (Bassler, et al. 1953: G54 lists as "Jur.") and not included as an extant genus in WoRMS.

Taxonomy
Hyporosopora was named by Canu and Bassler (1929) [Sepkoski's age data: J Aale R Sepkoski's reference number: 908]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Cyclostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Plagioeciidae by Hara and Taylor (2009), Zaton and Taylor (2010), Zaton et al. (2013), Di Martino and Taylor (2013) and Wilson et al. (2015).
