Discussion
Hyporosopora is extinct according to Treatise (Bassler, et al. 1953: G54 lists as "Jur.") and not included as an extant genus in WoRMS.
Taxonomy
Hyporosopora was named by Canu and Bassler (1929) [Sepkoski's age data: J Aale R Sepkoski's reference number: 908]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Diaperoeciidae by Bassler (1953); to Cyclostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Plagioeciidae by Hara and Taylor (2009), Zatoń and Taylor (2010), Zatoń et al. (2013), Di Martino and Taylor (2013), Wilson et al. (2015) and Martha et al. (2019).
It was assigned to Diaperoeciidae by Bassler (1953); to Cyclostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Plagioeciidae by Hara and Taylor (2009), Zatoń and Taylor (2010), Zatoń et al. (2013), Di Martino and Taylor (2013), Wilson et al. (2015) and Martha et al. (2019).
