Septaliphoria subrotunda was named by Makridin (1964). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Orlovka, Pugachev region (Gurvitsch collection, fulgens-subditus zones), which is in a Tithonian/Berriasian marine sandstone in the Russian Federation.
