Taxonomy
Lenothyris ovalis was named by Dagys (1968). Its type specimen is IGiG 114/78 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Goluboy Creek, Dyabaka-Tari River, central Taimyr, which is in a Berriasian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
