It was recombined as Glans affinis by Grant and Gale (1931) and Durham (1950); it was recombined as Carditamera (Bryssomera) affinis by Olsson (1961); it was recombined as Cardita (Bryssomera) affinis by Keen (1971) and Moore (1992); it was recombined as Carditamera affinis by Coan and Valentich-Scott (2012).
