Tanaocrossus kalliokoskii
Taxonomy
Tanaocrossus kalliokoskii was named by Schaeffer (1967). Its type specimen is AMNH 5700, a skeleton (Detailed impression of the body, lacking anterior half of skull and pectoral fins), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dolores River Canyon fish locality A, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian channel siltstone in the Chinle Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Tanaocrossus.
