Trona trinitatensis

Taxonomy
Cypraea trinitatensis was named by Mansfield (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Trinidad and Tobago.]. Its type specimen is USNM 352686, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 8299, which is in a Miocene marine siliciclastic in Trinidad and Tobago.

It was recombined as Trona (Macrocypraea) trinitatensis by Schilder (1939); it was recombined as Macrocypraea trinitatensis by Schilder and Schilder (1971); it was recombined as Trona trinitatensis by Landau and Groves (2011).
