Taxonomy
Zoila arlettae was named by Dolin (1991). Its type specimen is USNM 43590, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 820b - Farley Creek, which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
It was recombined as Cypraeorbis arlettae by Landau and Groves (2011).
